Stable homes lead to stable lives
With a housing crisis specifically for homes that are within reach for lower wage earners, our role is more important than ever. The CDA collaborates with the cities and partners throughout Scott County to create new apartment communities that offer rents that our citizens can afford. Our work in this area has benefitted countless people over our 45+ years, and we remain committed to helping create possibilities for all people to live and work here at home, right here in our incredible county.

Services Overview
Tenant Based
Assistance
Section 8 Housing is a government-funded program that helps low-income households afford a rental on the private marketplace, directly with a landlord from the inventory of market-rate rental units.
Project Based
Assistance
The CDA owns a number of single-family homes, apartment and townhome communities throughout the county. The rents at these properties are set at an affordable market rate, and units are subsidized through HUD or Rural Development.
Family
Self-Sufficiency
Available to Housing Choice Voucher participants, we work with families and individuals to create a path to independence, increased income, and bright futures. And our services are free of charge.
Waiting Lists
The CDA works with a number of communities and partners throughout the county to provide rental housing for our citizens. Unfortunately, the demand for these essential programs far exceeds the funding available to make more opportunities accessible for all. To learn more please click below.
