New Prague is home to Cedar Lake, a popular destination for fishing, ice fishing, water skiing, and jet skiing. A snowmobile trail runs through the lake during the winter season.

Downtown New Prague is not only historic, but also prepped for growth. Throughout 2020, the city will replace aging city utilities, reconstruct the roadway and include streetscaping amenities such as lighting and sidewalk improvements.
