Conducting business electronically is fast and efficient in Scott County, due to an excellent network of nearly 300 miles of fiber that runs throughout the County. Built through a partnership between Scott County and local communities, the fiber optic network connects all public facilities within the county, state of Minnesota, and other county fiber optic networks.

Scott County can leverage access to this network to private companies, which could provide exceptionally resilient connectivity service, at an affordable price, likely resulting in a long term operating expense savings.
