Scott County CDA About Us
Over 45 years of serving Scott County
About the CDA
We were created by an act of the Legislature in 1974 (Chapter 473) as a government agency to serve the people and businesses of Scott County. Over the years, the CDA has been a vital resource that enhances the lives of all people. Because of our ability to work with a variety of partners in the government, for-profit, and non-profit spaces, we have a unique perspective on providing creative leadership that supports the vibrant future of our county.
We provide affordable rental homes for low- and moderate-income families and individuals, seniors, and those with mental or physical disabilities. All too often, people struggle to find safe and affordable places to live, and our goal is to create options so people can have a home they can afford and do so here in Scott County.
Our direct services are available to people that dream of homeownership and independent living. Our homeownership counselors work with individuals to create pathways to success, whether they may be facing a foreclosure or wish to increase their knowledge about creating a family budget. Our staff empowers families and individuals with knowledge that transforms lives.
Scott County aims to have enough jobs for 50% of our residents by 2030. Our economic development team supports our future success by unlocking resources that help businesses thrive, whether they are considering relocating to Scott County or building upon their existing success in our communities. These services are a game-changer for our business sector.
