Do you know what it takes to purchase a home? Are you prepared to be a homeowner? Find Out NOW! Learn the keys to successful homeownership by attending the Homebuyers Club offered by the Scott County Community Development Agency. Classes are offered quarterly and are limited to ten households with priority given to low to moderate income households and residents of Scott County and those who wish to purchase in Scott County. Homebuyers Club graduates may be eligible for a grant from the Scott County CDA for down payment assistance. Participants are encouraged to meet one-on-one with a pre-purchase counselor to go over your individual homebuyer situation. A pre-purchase counselor can help you review your credit, define a realistic budget, and create a plan for homeownership. The Scott County CDA's Homebuyer's Club uses the Home Stretch curriculum and meets most first-time homebuyer education requirements. Please contact your lender prior to registering for the Homebuyers Club to ensure that it is approved. Materials can also be picked up at our office or mailed to you.
